A partir del conocido conflicto de Stonewall, que ocurrió el 28 de junio de 1969, en Nueva York, estallaron una serie de movimientos sociales en varios lugares del mundo que exigían respeto y libertades para la diversidad sexual.
Por ello, el 28 de junio de cada año se celebra el Día Internacional del Orgullo LGBTTTIQ+ y durante ese mes se realizan actividades conmemorativas como marchas, festejos y actividades culturales en varios países. Es así como comenzó todo.
